PRISCILLA ANN SCHOONOVER

1952 - 2016

Priscilla Ann Schoonover, 63, of Cerritos, Calif., formerly of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at the Ronald Reagan Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif.
Born June 13,1952, in Wellsboro, she was the daughter of Dr. Kenneth and Marjorie (Henderson) Schoonover.
She was a 1970 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School and received her BS degree in 1973 and her MS degree in 1974 both in speech pathology from The Pennsylvania State University. Her career was spent in the medical field at hospitals, nursing homes, home health care services, and in education. For many years she worked at The Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown and the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Md. Presently she was on the staff of the Jersey Avenue Elementary School of the Little Lake City School District in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. She was a member of the Knoxville Yoked Church, The American Speech and Hearing Association, The California Speech and Hearing Association, and Mensa.
She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Kenneth Schoonover and survived by her mother, Marjorie; her brother, Kenneth, (Julie); her nephews K.C., Jason, Sean; and her niece, Shannon Schoonover.
A memorial service will be held at the Knoxville Yoked Church in Knoxville at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the cemetery at Wilcox.
