Richard L. Wilkinson, 78, of Wellsboro, died on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1943 in Wellsboro, a son of the late Ivan and Elizabeth (Campbell) Wilkinson.
Rich was married to Roxanne L. (Dewey) Wilkinson and was employed for 37 years as a vice president, loan officer and regional supervisor for Citizens and Northern Bank, Wellsboro.
He was an avid car person, enjoying many forms of racing including formula one and NASCAR. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, yardwork, working on cars, birdwatching and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He served on the board of directors for several area organizations and was a member of the Wellsboro Rotary Club, Wellsboro Men's Chorus and the Tyoga Country Club. He was instrumental in bringing the STPR to Wellsboro.
Rich is survived by his wife, Roxanne L. Wilkinson of Wellsboro; two sons, Tim (Tonya) Wilkinson of Wellsboro, Mile (Kerry) Wilkinson of Colorado; two stepchildren, Kristen (Doug) Geisler of Oregon, Ryan (Mariah) Hall of Montana two brothers: Ronald (Barbara) Wilkinson of Minnesota, Jack (Sigrid) Wilkinson of Athens; sister, Ruth Ann Goellner of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Hannah (Alex) Sechrist, Hope Wilkinson, Brandon Wilkinson, Katie Wilkinson, Daustin Hall, Blaydin Hall and Treyvin Hall.
A visitation, with masks being required, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro, www.carletonfh.com.
A memorial service will follow at noon with Carmen Toby officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice
