RONALD D. IVES

1947 - 2025

Ronald D. Ives, 78, of Wellsboro, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at The Gatehouse Hospice Center in Williamsport. He was born on July 8, 1947, in Quakertown, a son of Clayton and Susan (Tarantino) Ives. Ronald was the husband of Karen (Kane) Ives. He worked as a lineman and installer with Verizon and was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #1147. Ronald liked tinkering with anything mechanical. He had a lifelong love of Harley-Davidsons and Corvettes. He enjoyed golf and loved spending time with his family, especially attending his great-grandchildren's sporting events.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 48 years; daughter, Hope (Randal) Shabloski of Wellsboro; two that were beloved like his own: Teri (Buck) Walizer and Richard Michael McClure; grandchildren, Paige (Zac Tomb) Fairbanks, Garrett Fairbanks, Katerina Shabloski, and Mikel (Ryan Kleiman) Shabloski; great-grandchildren, Devan Fairbanks and Lylah Merrick; brothers, James (Deanna) Ives of Wellsboro, and Raymond (Evelyn) Ives of Summerville, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Clayton Ives, and sisters, Norma Coolidge and Katheryn Kennedy.
