Feb 4, 1959 - Feb 22, 2026
Jeffery Dane Cage, 67, of Sharpsville, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, surrounded by his dear family. He was born on February 4, 1959 to his parents, Dane Cage and Patricia (Kolinsky) Cage.
Jeff graduated from Tri-Central High School in the class of 1977. He worked for Tipton Co-op, Elsa Corporation, and most recently, Waitt Equipment, in sales. Through the years, Jeff's career was focused in agriculture. He lived a life rooted in hard work, devotion, and a love for the land. Farming was his passion! He found purpose in the soil, pride in honest labor, and satisfaction in seeing the fruits of his work grow.
He taught his children not only about farming and craftsmanship, but also about the value of persistence, integrity, and doing a job right the first time. Jeff was loyal to a fault, strong willed, and unwaveringly true to himself. Jeff was steady, dependable and offered consistent support. He was an anchor for his family! Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his loved ones; children, grandchildren, and his longtime girlfriend Linda, whose companionship meant so much to him. Jeff's legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the hands he guided, and the lives he helped shape.
Jeff is survived by his girlfriend, Linda Klaus; children, Anne McElfresh (Joseph), Rachel Teter (Korbin Shelton), Jessica Cage, Eric Cage, Ryan Cage, Elliott Cage (Emily); step-children, Katie McFadden (Greg), Jesse Klaus (Cindy), Keith Klaus (Sheen); bonus son, Lance Groves; grandchildren, Damien Teter, Dawson Groves, Brixley Cage, Calvin Cage, Tessa Cage, Emmett McElfresh, Everett McElfresh, Emma McElfresh; step-grandchildren, Jackson Klaus, Mason Klaus, Camille Klaus, Eliza Klaus; sister, Lisa Waymire; beloved dog, Marvin; and pain-in-the-backside barn cat, Fred.
Jeff was preceded in death by his dad, Dane Cage; infant triplets, Donovan, Robert and Jeffery; grandson, Evan McElfresh; and father-in-law, Ralph McGowan.
Out of respect for Jeff's wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Jeff was a great person with such a big heart. Always a gentleman but could joke and tease with the rest of the guys.
God's speed my friend!
