Anthony Delio Obituary
Anthony E. "Buz" Delio, 74, of Jim Thorpe, passed away on Jan. 13, 2024, in his home with his loving family. He was the loving husband of Christine (Kosciusko) Delio. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on Sept. 4, 2023.
He was a police officer for the New York Police Department, New York, N.Y., for 22 years before retiring in 1990.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on March 31, 1949, he was a son of Ursula (Fiore) Delio of Staten Island, N.Y., and the late Rocco Delio.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in New York.
We have been blessed with the presence of Buz in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Christine (Kosciusko) Delio of Jim Thorpe; his mother, Ursula (Fiore) Delio of Staten Island, N.Y.; his sons, Mark Delio, and his wife, Michelle, of Boca Raton, FL, and Rocco Delio, and his wife, Leah, of Jim Thorpe.
He was the loving grandfather to Taylor Delio, and her husband, Shaun, Gianna Delio, James Delio and Lukas Storms.
He is also survived by a brother, John Guzzo of Staten Island; a sister-in-law Karen, wife of Robert Miata of Lehighton; a brother-in-law, Brian Kosciusko of Neola; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Ed and Connie Sullivan of Long Island, N.Y.
He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kathy Guzzo; and a brother-in-law, Stanley Kosciusko.
Service: A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Private interment at convenience of family. Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, 1426 Rt. 209, Gilbert, is entrusted with arrangements. www.gowerfuneralhome.com.

I shared the best times of my life with you, and I am so very sorry to have to lose you, but I know you´re finally free from your pain and suffering.
You remain my inspiration forever. To have had an older brother like you is to have experienced a very special gift
You were my all-time hero. Growing up, you picked up where Dad left off, never missing a beat. Always there for me in so many ways. You taught me how to appreciate and have a passion for beautiful cars, loved when, as kids, brother John and I sat in the back seat of your muscle cars as you ALWAYS beat the competition, you were undefeated! Then there was the Beatles and Elvis, and Mad Magazine...collecting records, 8-tracks, and jukeboxes...all things vintage...the list goes on, but what fun we had! Always gave me spare change for Mr. Softee ice cream when everyone else said "No!" and, how many people can say their brother´s band played at the NY World´s Fair in 1964-65?
I hope you know how much I love you and how heartbroken I will remain. Forever....
You were such a wonderful family man, loving each and every one of us so profoundly. You were a devoted Father to two outstanding, handsome sons, Mark and Rocky, Grandfather to two beautiful girls, Taylor and Gianna, and one adorable young man, James, wonderful Brother to me, Milly and John, father-in-law to Michelle and Leah, brother-in-law to hubby Eric and such a loving son to our Mom Ursula. Also an Uncle and friend to so many. You may not realize it, but you leave an amazing legacy behind, for you were such a unique individual. We will remember you through the many people still left behind whose lives you touched so positively.
Thank you for your service as a NYC Policeman, the cars and motorcycles you tirelessly fixed for us, the unending love and patience you had for us all...
Rest in heavenly bliss, my dear brother. I´m patiently waiting for you to enter my dreams so I can see you again, and relive those times we spent together.
My only regret was that I didn´t see your handsome face before you passed on to our Heavenly Kingdom.
I will cherish every lesson learned from you and every bit of advice you gave...
Your best advice to me has always been..
"Lie down `till the feeling passes," which you continually exclaimed every time I called you with a "new/old car prospect." lol.
You´ve taught me so much, my beloved brother, except for one thing ~ how to live without you.
