Dorothy Creitz Obituary
Dorothy A. Creitz, 98, of Franklin Township, formerly of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, with her loving family at her side. She was the widow of Willard D. Creitz, who passed away on Oct. 14, 2021.
Born in Palmerton on Monday, July 20, 1925, she was a daughter of the late George and Susan (Rehrig) Neff.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator/floor lady for Drumheller's Mills.
Dorothy was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton, where she volunteered her time with the Altar Guild, parish choir and the kitchen staff.
She was a very family-oriented person.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan D., wife of Russell H. "Rusty" Miller Jr. of Franklin Township; a sister, Diane, wife of Gerald Snyder of Aquashicola; a brother, Frank Neff, and his wife, Marlene, of Parryville; a granddaughter, Sherry, wife of Michael Rose; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Bennett Rose; a god-daughter, Beverly Galasso; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Marguerite Max, Pauline Farenkopf, Mildred Furry and Betty Hahn; and brothers, Ronald, George Jr., Herman, Lloyd and Donald Neff.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, All Saints Episcopal Church, Second and Coal streets, Lehighton, with Deacon Charles Barebo officiating. Interment, Lehighton Cemetery. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Contributions in her name may be made to the church, 301 N. Second St., Lehighton, PA 18235. Online condolences can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.

Dear Joanie and Sherry and families. I´m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother/grandmother. She was a wonderful lady. It´s so hard to say goodbye (for now), to our loved ones, especially our mothers. Thinking about you all at this sad time, may so many wonderful memories give you comfort always.
