Dorothy T. Rauso
Mrs. Dorothy T. Rauso, 85, of 51 W. Columbus Ave., Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Friday, Feb. 1. She was the widow of Jasper Rauso.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Domin) Konecny.
She was a secretary at various locations over the years, having last worked for the Panther Valley Agency.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, and was a devoted member of the former Our lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning.
The deceased was a former officer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Coaldale American Legion.
She enjoyed having Easter, Thamksgiving and Christmas dinners at her home and traveling to such places as Caan, France and Bruunsum in the Netherlands. She also enjoyed playing the slots and always spent her winnings on family and friends.
She liked Ford Mustangs.
Surviving are a brother Joseph, and his wife, Veronica, of Whiting, N.J.; a niece, Jeanine Konecny of Roselle, N.J.; and a nephew, Tony Konecny, and his wife, Corrine, of Worthington, Ohio, who watched over and cared for her.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony P. "Butch."
Service: Funeral service will be announced at a later date. Contributions in her name may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or to the St. Luke Hospice, c/o the Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 W. Center St., Nesquehoning, Pa. 18240.
