Edward Deibert Obituary

Edward Bruce Deibert

Edward Bruce Deibert, 63, of Mahoning Township, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in his residence.

He was employed as a laborer for several asbestos companies throughout the area.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of Margaret A. "Peg" (Mriss) Deibert of Lehighton and the late Bruce L. "Reds" Deibert.

He was of the Catholic faith and was a 1980 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.

Eddie enjoyed tinkering in the garage, collecting antiques and listening to the Rolling Stones.

Surviving along with his mother are a daughter, Maggie Deibert of Fountain Hill; a brother, Bruce Deibert of Lehighton; a grandson, Romeo Torres; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by Stephen Mriss.

Service: Memorial graveside service 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Cemetery, N. Fourth St., Lehighton, with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240. The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Online condolence can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.
