Eileen Marie McGlynn
Eileen Marie McGlynn, 61, of Jim Thorpe, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of Margaret (Homyak) Moser and the late Frank Richard Moser Sr.
She was a graduate of Marian Catholic High School. Then she graduated from the American Academy of Broadcasting in Philadelphia and received a bachelor's degree from Cedar Crest College.
During her career, she was employed as a radio broadcaster at 105.5 WMGH in Tamaqua. She also worked as a radio broadcaster in Knoxville, Tennessee and as a master control operator at WYLN-TV in Hazleton. Later, she was employed by the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit.
She was a lifelong member of St Joseph's Church, Jim Thorpe, where she enjoyed volunteering. She loved biking, walking and anything that dealt with the communications field.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Michael McGlynn; sisters, Marlene Moser, Kathy, wife of Jeff Holt; brother, Frank Moser Jr.; many nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, John Frank McGlynn.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 16, at the Melber Funeral Home followed by 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 526 North St., Jim Thorpe with the Rev. Ronald Minner officiating. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be at St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery.
