Harry Charles Hahn

Harry Charles Hahn, born on Oct. 1, 1956, in Lehighton, was peacefully sent to his eternal home on Oct. 29, 2025, at the age of 69 after battling cancer for several years.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Geraldine (Zacharias) Hahn. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. (Kibler, Anthony) Hahn; stepdaughter, Stacy Firely (Anthony); sister, Betty Knirnschild (husband Wayne), and brothers, Larry (wife Marie), Terry (companion Sharon), and Barry (wife Tara), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Harry was named after his paternal grandfather, "Harry" and his maternal grandfather, "Charles."

Raised in Trachsville, he graduated from Palmerton Area School District in 1974. Harry worked as a truck driver first for his dad, "Sonny" (Clarence Hahn) at C.D. Hahn Trucking until 2000, after which he worked for LaRoche Industries in Palmerton.

His love of cars (particularly his 1973 Ford Gran Torino) was well known with his family and friends. Through the years, Harry often attended many local car shows with his beautifully polished '73 Gran Torino, where he often drove home with top prize trophies that line his walls to this day. Harry and his wife Betty would also enjoy frequenting local fairs, concerts, family picnics and other social events enjoying the live music, food and lively conversations.

Harry was also a lifetime member and former officer of the Towamensing Volunteer Fire Company and enjoyed gardening, bird watching out his front window, and ensuring his immaculate Gran Torino remained spotless.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Jerusalem UCC Church, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, at 11 a.m. Calling hour at 10 a.m. until the time of services in the church.
