James F. Brougher

James F. Brougher, 63, of Lehighton, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, in his home.

Born on April 7, 1962, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Freeman and Frieda (Swinderman) Brougher.

He was a 1980 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Logistics from Penn State University.

James worked as a Logistics Scheduler for 20 years for Air Products in Trexlertown, retiring in 2018.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton.

James enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and loved spending time in Buxton, N..C, in the Outer Banks.

He is survived by his daughter, Maeann Elise Brougher, and her fiancé, Matthew Tong, of Whitehall; a sister, Janet Brougher of Lehighton; and his grand kittens, Timber and Thia.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, Schaeffer Funeral Home, 300 Alum St., Lehighton, with LLM Kathy Long officiating. Committal service to follow at Lehighton Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Schaeffer Funeral Home, Lehighton, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
