Joseph P. Henry, 70, of Lehighton passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2022.
Joe was a father of three children and married to his high school "Sweetheart," Jane (Harrington) Henry, for 48 years.
He was the son of Joseph Nevin and Anne Henry.
Joe graduated from Palmerton High School in 1970. He continued his education at ESU, majoring in math but later graduated from Allentown College (DeSales University) with high honors of Magna Cum Laude with finance and economies business degree.
He spent 23 years at Buckeye Pipline, 16 years at Fraser Advanced Information Systems. The last several years he worked in insurance.
Joe loved sports and excelled in high school football, basketball and track. In track is where he excelled, setting a school record in distance relay.
As a parent he continued his love for sports through youth sports by coaching and cheering them on. He also was an avid fan of Green Bay Packers, Penn State and Phillies.
Joe was a man of faith, became a Methodist pastor in 2007. He ministered at several churches, including United Methodist, Ebenezer United Methodist of Parryville, and United Methodist-White Haven.
Joe was loved by so many people. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Joe is survived by wife, Jane; son, Jeff, Keri Anne; daughter, Tracilyn, and husband Chris, daughter, Joyce, and husband Vince; and five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Service: Funeral services were held July 30. If willing, please proceed all donations to Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Fredericks Grove Road, Lehighton, PA 18235.
