Joshua Hux Obituary
Joshua Hux, 23, of Barnesville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, in his home.
Born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., on March 28, 1993, he attended Roanoke Rapids Area School and was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School.
He was currently employed at Universal Trailer Company, McAdoo.
His activities included football, fishing, hunting, basketball, four-wheeling, mechanical work and enjoying time with his family and friends. Most importantly, he enjoyed watching the Carolina Panthers going to the Super Bowl.
Surviving are his mother Sherry, wife of Thomas Oboril; his father, Brian Hux, and his wife, Krystal; five siblings, Nicholas Hux, Bryson Hux, Gregory Oboril, Riley Hafer and Brandon Johnson; his grandparents, Susan Colon Hess and Carolyn Hux; aunts and uncles, Juanita Colon, Jenell Felpel, Anthony and Rebekah Felpel, Nicole and Michael Reeves, Christopher and Jessica Hux, Adam Hux and David and Angie Connelly; great-grandparents, Jauna and Vananico Abreu; and 18 cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his grandfathers, Angel Colon and Larry Hux; and Vida and Caleb Hess, Fannie Mae and Floyd Hux, and Ella Belle (Bi Mama) and Sidney Baird.
Service: Memorial service 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown. Call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Joshua's name to 18 Maple Ave., Barnesville, PA 18214, to be used as a donation to a foundation in his name. Memorial service 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown. Call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Joshua's name to 18 Maple Ave., Barnesville, PA 18214, to be used as a donation to a foundation in his name.

I remember when Josh worked at Heaton Construction in Roanoke Rapids...He would walk over to our house after work to hang out with Michael until his dad got off work....I can still picture Josh...Big goofy smile on his face..His curly hair all over the place.. Sometimes his face would have dirt smeared on it and those boots....He wore them all the time...Josh always took them off at the backdoor so no mud would track in....And he always ..Always was sooo polite...RIP Josh..Miss you much son..

Me and josh woukd play basketball almost everyday. . . Weither there was snow on the ground or not. If he wanted to do something he would do it. No question. Rest easy my good feiend. I miss you so much
