Karl E. Rodgers

Karl E. Rodgers, 68, of Lehighton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. He was the husband of Bonnie (Geiger) Rodgers. They were married for 43 years.

Born in Allentown on Dec. 30, 1956, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Ahner) Rodgers.

He was a 1975 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Karl worked in bridge construction as a concrete foreman for G. A. & F. C. Wagman for many years until his retirement.

He was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Franklin Township, Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1, Orioles Nest No. 183 and American Legion Post 314, all of Lehighton, and the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club.

Karl was an avid Eagles, Phillies and Penn State fan. He enjoyed golfing and loved watching all the events in which his grandchildren participated.

Karl will be remembered for his sense of humor and smile and will be missed by his Buddy Bash Crew.

Surviving in addition to his widow are sons, Bruce, husband of Jody, and Kenneth, husband of Jennifer, both of Lehighton; grandchildren, Jared, Derreck, Jacqueline, Parker, Isabella and Jayce; sisters, Carol, wife of Bob Daniels, Ruthann Benner, Sandra, wife of Adam Kokinda, Ellen, wife of Phillip Walck, Greta, wife of Jon Weaver, and Paula Rodgers; and many nieces, and nephews.

He was also predeceased by a granddaughter Savannah; and brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Joseph Rodgers.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, Bethany Wesleyan Church, 1122 Fairyland Road, Lehighton, Committal service to follow at Lehighton Cemetery.
