Kathleen Moats Obituary

Mrs. Kathleen A. Moats

Mrs. Kathleen A. "Kathy" "Kat" Moats, 74, of Slatedale, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the widow of Randall K. "Randy" Moats, who passed away in 2012.

Born in Hoboken, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Richard Moore Sr. and Nelly (Direnzo) Yansick.

She was employed as a seamstress for numerous years by the former Paris Neckwear, Walnutport.

Her favorite hobby was crocheting and spending time with family and friends.

Kathleen was a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale.

Survivors include a son, Eddy Krieger in North Carolina; daughter, Christa Oswald of Nesquehoning; sisters, Donna Thorpe of Tamaqua, Patricia Moore of Kutztown and Maryann Yansick of Walnutport; brother, Richard Moore II in North Carolina; grandson, Randall Fitzgerald, and his girlfriend, Cheyenne Swartz, of Laurys Station; granddaughters, Cheyenne Rivera of Bethlehem and Daniella Rivera of Quakertown; four other grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Paul Moore.

Service: A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Kevin E. Hunsicker Funeral Home, 4214 Main St., Slatedale, with Pastor David L. Hess officiating. No calling hours. Contributions may be made to the family or the funeral home to help assist with funeral expenses.
