Kathleen Mae Whiteman

Kathleen Mae Whiteman, 80, of Gordonville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, in the Hospice and Community Center, Mount Joy. She was the wife of Milo "Tony" Whiteman. Together, they shared 60 years of marriage.

Born in Weissport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (Kresge) Olawski.

She had attended Eastside High School in Paterson, N.J.

Kathleen worked for many years as a medical receptionist at St. Joseph's University Medical Center, Paterson, until retiring in 2010.

She was an avid gardener and loved to bake.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Denise Whiteman of Towaco, N.J.; sons, Steven of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Brian, and his wife, Melissa, of Waxhaw, N.C.; grandchildren, John, Morgan, Jeff and Nicholas, Brendan, Colin and Zachary; a sister-in-law, Linda Rehrig; and cousins and nieces.

She was also predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Whiteman; and a sister, Frances Belka.

Service: Memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, Mayes-Melber Funeral Home, 200 Franklin St., Weissport, with the Rev. John Hassler officiating. Memorial visitation 2-3 p.m. Interment, Franklin Heights Cemetery.
