LaRue Smith Obituary
Mrs. LaRue A. Smith, 100, of Palmerton, passed away Sunday, March 22, in The Village at Palmerton. She was the widow of Albert A. Smith, who passed away in 1966.
She was a sewing machine operator for the former Scotty's Fashions, Palmerton, for 20 years until retiring in 1976.
Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rista (Rinker) Strohl.
She was a longtime member of St. John Towamensing Lutheran Church, Palmerton.
Surviving are a daughter Romaine; a sister Pauline; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by a daughter and two sons.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. No calling hours. Contributions in her name may be made to the Palmerton Memorial Park Assoc., 1255 Third St., Palmerton, PA 18071.
