Mrs. Lisa J. Weiss

Mrs. Lisa J. Weiss, 66, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of James H. Weiss. They were married for 46 years on Aug. 25 of this year.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Marlene J. (Muffley) Parry. Lisa was a 1977 graduate of the Lehighton Area High School.

Prior to retiring, she was employed as a secretary for the Lehighton Area School District with 42 years of service.

Lisa was a member of Zion UCC, Lehighton.

She enjoyed spending time with her feline friends and cherished her time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Justin J. Weiss (companion, Audrey Parenti) of Lehighton; a brother, Glenn Schaeffer (Joanne) of Lehighton; and a close friend, Karter Frantz.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Todd Wreidt.

Service: Graveside service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, Franklin Heights Memorial Park, E. Weissport, with the Rev. Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Arrangements by Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton. Contributions in her name may be made to Carbon Co. Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. Online condolences can be offered at ovsakfh.com.
