Lolita Marie Simms

Lolita Marie Simms, 5, of Slatington, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

Born in Sioux Falls, S.D., she was a daughter of Kimberly Ahner of Slatington and Raymond L. Simms of Maryland.

Lolita had a great love of music, the breeze on her face and being around people. She was loved and will be missed my many, including her family and nurse, Dawn.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings, Ciara Simms, Raymond A Simms, Morgan Haubroe and Cairo Simms; maternal grandparents, Jennifer Ahner and Jeannette and Edward Binder; paternal grandparents, Raymond Simms and Lolita Riley; great-grandmothers, Karen Arner, Jane Ahner and Hyacinth Silvera; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was also predeceased by her grandfather, Rodney Ahner; uncle, Nolan Ahner; and great-grandfathers, Arthur Arner and Melvin Ahner.

Services: All services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Mayes-Melber Funeral Home.

Lolita was such a bright spot in my day. I enjoyed having the opportunity to be her teacher. We loved seeing her smile and how much she enjoyed listening to music. Sending my thoughts and prayers to her family. Rest in peace sweet girl.
