Lucille E. (Kennedy) Flail, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, formerly of Shillington, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, as a guest of Maple Shade Senior Living in Nesquehoning at 74 years of age.
Born Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1946, in Coaldale, a daughter of the late George W. and Anne (Sleva) Kennedy.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Robert J. Flail of Tamaqua; sons, Gregory J. Flail, Ph.D., of Atlanta, GA, and Joshua J. Flail, and his wife Leah, of Shillington; brothers, Edward Kennedy, and his wife Vicki, of Tamaqua, and George Kennedy, and his wife Jane, of Pittsburgh, CA; sister, Michele Marouchoc of Nesquehoning; grandchildren, Lilly and Bridget; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A 1963 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Lucy was a member of Lincoln Park Community Methodist Church of West Lawn.
She and Robert owned and operated Robert J. Flail Nationwide Insurance Agency of Kutztown for 34 years.
Lucy was an avid reader, lover of animals, Motown music and crossword puzzles, but more than anything, she cherished time spent with family and friends.
Service: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Interment in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; or your local ASPCA.
