Mrs. Madeline M. Dietz

Mrs. Madeline M. Dietz, 89, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in the Mahoning Post Acute Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township. She was the widow of Blaine C. "Peanuts" Dietz Sr.

Prior to retiring, she worked in the garment industry, the Lehighton High School cafeteria, and as a crossing guard in the Borough of Lehighton.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Evelyn (Gilham) Lynn.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton, and was a former member of the Lehighton Women's Club.

Madeline was a family -oriented person who loved spending time with her granddaughter, Shelby, and taking trips to the casino.

Surviving are two sons, Blaine C. Dietz Jr. (Wanda) of Lehighton and Gary A. Dietz (Nancy) of Palmerton; a sister, Patricia A. Kunkle of Lehighton; her granddaughter, Shelby Dietz; and nieces and nephews.

Services: Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton, is in charge of the arrangements. Contributions in her name may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.

Blaine and Gary and families..
So sorry for your loss..I remember your mom when we were at first ward..and she was in the nursing home with my. Mom for a little..for comfort and sorrow.. sincerely Debbie Larzelere Rehrig
