Mary R. Infante

Mrs. Mary R. Infante, 88, of Manchester, Conn., formerly of Nesquehoning, the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Infante, passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 16, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Infante was born in Upper Lehigh, Pa., a daughter of the late David and Winifred (Dudy) McAfee, and had been a longtime resident of the Manchester community.
She was a 1938 graduate of the former Foster Township High School, and later became a registered nurse, graduating from the former Hazleton State School of Nursing and working at the former Coaldale State General Hospital, retiring in the early 1970s.
Surviving are a daughter Maryrose, wife of Samuel J. Ricciardi, with whom she made her home, and by her grandson, Nicholas Ricciardi, and great-granddaughter, Izabella Ricciardi, all of Manchester, CT. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Joseph P. and a brother, Atty. John D.
Mrs. Infante's family would like to express their special thanks to the staff of the Crestfield Health Care Center, Wing No. 4, and to the North Central Hospice & Palliative Care for all of the kindness and consideration shown to Mary and to her family during her stay there.
Service: Memorial service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church St., Hartford, Conn. Interment at later date, St. Ann Cemetery, Freeland. No calling hours.
