Michael Batovsky Obituary
Michael Francis Batovsky Jr., 77, of Jim Thorpe, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale.
Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Michael F. Batovsky Sr. and Jacqueline (Mooney) Batovsky.
Michael was a 1966 graduate of Jim Thorpe High School and earned his master's degree from Kings College.
He worked as a hospital case manager at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
He was a member of the Freemasons.
Michael loved and had a special bond with his dog "Diesel." He also loved all of the major Philly sports teams and was an avid Phillies, Eagles and Sixers fan.
Surviving are a son, David Highland, and his fiancée, Rachel Yodice, of Kutztown; and a brother, Peter Batovsky of Inverness, FL.
Service: Funeral service at convenience of family. Arrangements by the Melber Funeral Home, Jim Thorpe.

May God rest your soul. Mike and I were roommates and best buddies at King's
College. He was always upbeat and loved to laugh. He loved the music of The DOORS, LED ZEPPELIN and others. A great guy to hang with and will be missed.

Very sorry for your loss. I feel so sad seeing this. I worked with Mike and we shared a lot of laughs. He helped me through some stressful times. He was a devoted social worker who worked at the hospital and also with home health. He was always my go to person to help patients in the community, his knowledge of resources was so good, I know he touched a lot of lives. RIP Mike.
