Michael Crowley Obituary
Michael E. ""Couser"" Crowley, 74, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, Florida.
Born on July 6, 1950, in Mauch Chunk to Edward F. and Cecile C. (Cossman) Crowley, Michael was a 1968 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School.
He resided his whole life in Jim Thorpe until he entered the U.S. Navy and served in the Vietnam War.
After serving his country, he worked for Air Products & Chemicals of Hometown for 30 years. He retired in 2009 after being injured at work.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Jim Thorpe.
He was a former member of the Jim Thorpe VFW, the American Legion Post 123, the Citizen's Fire Co. of Tamaqua, the East and West Penn Rod & Gun Clubs, the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, and the Andreas Rod & Gun Club.
Surviving him are two daughters, both of Jim Thorpe, Jennifer Crowley and her companion James McGinley, and Jodie Crowley and her companion Michael Mack.
He was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Jamie Crowley, in 2014.
He leaves behind seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and also his longtime companion, Christina Yaworski, formerly of Ashfield.
Michael also leaves behind his brothers, Daniel Crowley, Patrick Crowley and wife Carol; sister, Cecile wife of Kevin Zurawa; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Edward F. Melber Funeral Home, 524 Center St., Jim Thorpe, with the Rev. Ronald Minner officiating. Memorial visitation, 10 to 11 a.m.
Service will be followed by military honors.
Interment will be private.

My thoughts and prayers are with the wonderful Crowley family. Growing up a block from Mike´s home, there are only fond memories of Mike, Dan & Pat during those trouble-free days in Jim Thorpe.

I knew "Couser" from working with him at Air Products, and he was always a fun guy to know. I'll never forget the time he brought in squirrel stew that he had made. He had a great sense of humor, and everybody liked him! He will be missed! I hope God brings peace and comfort to his loved ones!
