Mrs. Perline Getz

Mrs. Perline Getz, 84, of Towamen- sing Township, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, in her residence. She was the widow of MMCM Randolph E. Getz Sr., a Navy retiree of 32 years who passed away on March 17, 2019.

Born in Wanchese, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Cathrine A. (Payne) Reber.

She was a housewife. She also worked as a seamstress for several clothing factories and worked at the Convenient Food Mart, Palmerton.

She enjoyed making ceramics, sewing and was an avid crocheter. She also enjoyed traveling in her RV attending Blue Grass concerts but especially loved her trip back home to see family in North Carolina.

Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth Goworowski, Patricia Dempsey and Armitta Thomas, all of Palmerton, and Cynthia, wife of Partrick Hancharick of Weatherly; a son, Randolph Getz Jr. of Lehighton; a sister Cathy, wife of Randy McPhee, and brothers, Crawford Reber, and his wife, Vicki, and Louie Reber, all in North Carolina; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Gwen Quidley, Jean English and Ann Mason; brothers, Sonny and Braddy; and sons-in-law, Konrad Goworowski and David Thomas.

Service: Graveside service 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, Lehighton Cemetery, with LLM Emma Weaver officiating. Arrangements by Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton. Online condolence can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.
