Raymond Schaffer Obituary
Schaffer III
Raymond F. "Speedy" Schaffer III, 59, of Loop Road, Slatington, Washington Township, died peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 7, in ManorCare Health Services, Allentown. He was the husband of Joyce Ann (Ronemus) Schaffer since Sept. 16, 1994.
He was an expert collision special-ist for Sules Autobody, Friedens, and the former Daniels Cadillac and the former Shoemaker's Jeep/Eagle, West Allentown.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond F. Jr. and Betty (Breininger) Schaffer.
He was a member of Lehigh Lodge No. 326, F.&A.M., the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown, and the Rajah Shrine, Reading.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he was a life member of the Reading MC, Oley.
Surviving in addition to his widow are three sons, Rody L. Schaffer, and his wife, Nicole, of Palmerton, Lance M. Grimm, and his wife, Sheri, of Bowmanstown, and Derek Hartman of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Reid, Clara Rae, Blake and Braden; a sister, Linda Rathburn, wife of Doug Pezoldt of Slatington; a niece and nephews.
Service: Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, Ziegel's Union Church Cemetery, 9990 Ziegel's Church Road, Breinigsville. Arrange-ments by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Contributions in his name may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140-413. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
