Richard Borger Obituary
Richard J. "Pap" Borger, 81, of Towamen-sing Twp., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. He was the husband of Kathryn (Dunbar) Borger. They were married 62 years last February.
He worked as a foreman for the former Zinc Corp. of America, Palmerton, for many years.
He served honorably as Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Pap loved his grandkids dearly and never missed a chance to cheer them on at every match or game. He was also an avid Palmerton sports fan.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Cleo and Elda (Kreger) Borger.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Tammy Kerschner, Donna and husband, Dave Kunkle; grandchildren, Cole and companion Kayla, Cody and companion Jamie, Kayla and companion Sam, Colby; great-grandchildren, Carter, Levi, Savannah, Carter; and brother, Robert and wife, Dixie.
Services: Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday. Contributions may be made to Paul's House Valor Foundation Clinic, 1130 Scenic View Dr., Kunkletown, PA 18058.
