Richard Seltzer

Richard C. Seltzer, 89, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at South Mountain Memory Care in Emmaus. He and his late wife Shirley A. (Dornblaser) Seltzer were together for 48 years until her passing in February of this year. He was the son of the late Henry and Edith (Kemmerer) Seltzer.

He was a courier for Silliker Inc. for several years and was a lifelong truck driver for various companies in the Lehigh Valley. Richard was an avid sports enthusiast and would rarely miss a Parkland or Penn State game on TV. More than anything, he was proud of his family and loved the time spent together.

Richard was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield.

Survivors: children, Randy Seltzer (Debbie) of Macungie, Lisa Sell (Keith) of New Tripoli, Susan Muscavage (Bruce Hackenberg) of Lehighton and Kelly Swisher (Tommy Winter) of Nyack, N.Y.; stepchildren, Lucy Maletsky (Joel) of Allentown, Debbie Abelovsky (Mike) of Jim Thorpe, Ruth Geist of Fogelsville, David Geist of Summerfield and daughter-in-law, Renee Geist of Kempton; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, Randy Geist, grandsons, Chris Lloyd and Adam Geist.

Services: A Funeral Service will take place at 12 p.m. Monday, December 1, at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Rd., Orefield, with a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Interment, church cemetery.
