Richard A. Sillers

Richard A. Sillers, also known as Strongwolf, passed away on Feb. 6, 2024, in Lehighton, at the age of 70.

Richard was a very strong person who battled cancer for 16 years, ultimately losing his fight.

He was a proud member of the "Cheroenhaka" Nottoway Indian Tribe, with his Indian name, "Strongwolf," given to him by Chief Walter D. "Red Hawk" Brown. Richard's tribe is located in Virginia.

Richard was born on March 17, 1953, in Lehighton. Throughout his life, he was known for his resilience and determination.

He will be remembered as a loving husband to Donna (Tortorello) Sillers, and a devoted father to his sons, Joshua and Richard II, as well as his daughter, Jennifer. Richard also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren.

In his professional life, Richard was an entrepreneur, running his own business for many years as the owner of R & S Tree Services. He took great pride in his work and was admired for his dedication and skill.

When Richard wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, indulging in his hobbies of camping, motorcycling and traveling. He also had a fondness for casinos and the thrill they provided.

Richard's zest for life and his unwavering strength will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He leaves behind a legacy of perseverance and love.

Service: At this time, no services have been announced. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of loss. May Richard's spirit soar with the wind, forever remembered as Strongwolf.
