Ronald Farrell Obituary
Farrell Sr.
Ronald F. Farrell Sr., 85, of Walker Township, passed away unexpectedly upon arrival on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.
Born Thursday, Aug. 22, 1935, in Coaldale, the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Bergalis) Farrell. Ron was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Violet L. (Drieisbach) Farrell, on June 13, 2020; and sister, Beverly Banks.
Surviving are son, Ronald F. Farrell Jr., and his wife Roxanne, of Tamaqua; daughter, Diane M. Canfield of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Timothy, Natalie, Leslie and Zack; great-grandchildren, Salvatore, Hailey, Jack, Elyse, Kyle, Wyatt and Isaiah.
A graduate of Tamaqua High School, Ron served honorably in the National Guard.
He was a drag line operator having worked for numerous mining operation throughout Schuylkill County.
Ron enjoyed tending to his home and spending time with family.
Service: Private arrangements entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.
