Steven Michael Everett

Steven Michael Everett, 71, of Franklin Township, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in his residence. He was the husband of Beverly J. (Walck) Everett. They were married for 47 years on Sept. 24, 2024.

Prior to retiring, he was employed as a union laborer for the Nestle Corporation and previously worked in the same capacity for Eckman Lumber and the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton.

Born in Lehighton on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1954, he was a son of the late James H. and Mary Ann Louise (Stuckley) Everett.

He was a very active member of SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton, where he assisted with the church collections every Sunday.

He was a member of the Franklin Township Lions Club and was a former Franklin Township Fire Company Fire Police volunteer.

He enjoyed his many coffee trips to the Bowmanstown Diner.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Nicole Everett, and her partner, Andrew Miller, of Nazareth; a son, Christopher Everett (Amber) of Albrightsville; three brothers, James Everett Jr. (Jan) of Palmerton, Robert Everett (Carol) of Lehighton and Rick Everett (Joanna) Nesquehoning; three grandchildren, Alekzander, Adelynn and Thalen; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cindy Freeby and Mary Ann Everett; and two brothers, Tracy and Rocky Everett.

Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, SS. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 360 N. Third St., Lehighton with the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr. Interment, parish cemetery, Lehighton. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church. Arrangements by Ovsak Funeral Home, Lehighton.
