Mrs. Suzanne M. Shapcott

Suzanne Marion Shapcott, 91, of Lehighton, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving husband, Michael, and family.

She was a loving wife and mother and adored her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her life was devoted to her family and faith.

Suzanne was born in England 91 years ago on May 14, 1934, to Reginald and Nancy (Pratt) Warsaw and came to America in in 1967.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Health Manufacturer Production Worker and also worked for the McDonald's Restaurant Chain.

She was a former member and Senior Warden at Calvary Episcopal Church, Tamaqua, where she was an originator of the Calvary Adult Day Care Center.

Surviving in addition to her husband, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are a daughter, Jane Tkach (Timothy) of Lehighton; and a son, John Shapcott (Linda) of Plainville, Conn.

She was also predeceased by a sister, Jean Harries; and two brothers, Peter and Allen Warsaw.

Service: A Celebration of Life service in her honor will be held on Thursday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the Ovsak Funeral Home, Fourth and Iron streets, Lehighton, with the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, July 31. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
