Todd Steven Harper, 44, of Hometown, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022. A devoted husband, father and son, his loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and saddened.

Todd was born on Jan. 11, 1978, in Pottsville, to Barbara Harper and the late Roland James Harper.

He grew up in Barnesville and graduated from Mahanoy Area High School in 1996, followed by graduation from the Schuylkill Institute of Business and Technology.

He worked as a service technician for both McNelis Home Healthcare and Evanko Medical Equipment. He also managed three of The Washery System carwash locations before becoming a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

Todd is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Harper (Konsavage); a 15-year-old son, Steven Harper; a sister Amy, wife of Ryan Hogan; two nieces, Harper and Scarlett Hogan; and two brothers-in-law, Wesley and Shawn Raup-Konsavage.

Anyone who knew Todd, knew he was incredibly kind-hearted and caring. An avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Star Wars collector, Todd spread smiles and positivity where he went. His family and friends will miss him beyond belief, including the family's three beloved dogs, Chloe, Obi, and Anakin, who laid by his side until his very last breath, and also their three beloved cats, Blackie, Squish and Rebby.

Service: A celebration of Todd's life with visitation from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, will be at Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, continuing on Monday, Jan . 2, with a gathering at 10 a.m. before a funeral service at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown . Flowers can sent to the funeral home, 31 Mahanoy Ave., Tamaqua, PA 18252.
