Mrs. Veronica M. Steigerwalt

Mrs. Veronica M. (Aranjo) Steigerwalt, 87, of Lehighton, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Maple Shade Meadows Assisted Living, Nesquehoning.

Born on April 30, 1938, in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Aranjo and Veronica (Latzko) Aranjo.

She was the wife of the late Charles L. Steigerwalt, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2011.

She attended Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Lehighton.

She worked as a manager of the Go-Fore Hole Dairy Bar and Miniature Golf in East Penn Township, Lehighton.

Veronica enjoyed her Bible study groups, Sunday dinners with her family, doing puzzles and going to the casino, but above all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are children, Michael Steigerwalt, and wife, Beth, of Lehighton, Kathleen Barger of Johnston, IA, Stephen Steigerwalt, and wife, Michele, of Coplay, Suzanne, wife of Curtis Hartung of Andreas, Deanne Snyder of New Tripoli and Leanne Scott of Peach Bottom; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Angie, Reggie and Anita.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Marie and Tess.

Services: The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Fredrick's Grove Road, Lehighton, followed by a memorial service at 11 o'clock. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton, has been entrusted in her care and services.
