Wilbur Muthard Obituary
Wilbur H. "Hoots" Muthard, 86, of Wind Gap and formerly of Palmer- ton died Saturday in the St. Luke's Hospital, Monroe Campus in Bartons- ville. He was the husband of the late Sarah J. "Betty" (Kern) Muthard, and companion of the late Mary Rader. A career painter, he was employed by PPL and Beth- lehem Steel. He also co-owned and operated Hoot's and Betty's Tavern, Palmerton. Born in Bowmanstown, he was a son of the late Earl and Lillian Muthard
Surviving are three daughters, Sheila, Crystal and Lynette; a son Randy; many grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and Ada, caregiver and sister of his late companion.
He was also predeceased by a daughter Terri; three brothers, Carl, Dean and Dale; and two sisters, Charlotte and Betty.
Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. Online con-dolences at www.tk-thomas-fh.com.
