Aaron Sabo Obituary
Aaron C. Sabo, age 34, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He was born November 29, 1984 to Cathy Carr and Steve Szabo.
Aaron enjoyed family, fitness, music, and playing the guitar. He was an accomplished high school athlete and was twice a state qualifier in wrestling at Eastwood High School where he graduated in 2002. He was attending classes at Owen's Community College with the goal of becoming a Social Worker. He was currently working full time at Prime Wood Craft at Best Buy in Findlay, OH. Aaron had an interest in marine biology, was a certified scuba diver, and never missed a "Shark Week". Aaron's unique combination of fierce loyalty and light hearted humor will be most missed. He was active in opioid recovery efforts and had the willingness to help others overcome addiction. He created a safe and judgment free place for recovering addicts by starting the first Heroin Anonymous meeting in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Left to cherish Aaron's memory are his children Rocky and Gabe Sabo; parents, Cathy (Mike) Carr and Steve (Kathleen) Szabo; brothers, Dustin (Natalie) Sabo and Ryan (Allie) Sabo; nieces, Raegan and Sydney Sabo; nephew, Jack Sabo; grandparents Alliene Sabo and Jean Carr; many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding Aaron in death are is grandparents, Ernest Sabo, Carol "Kay" and Paul Blattner.
Aaron's family will be receiving guests for Visitation Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). His Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Graveside Services following at New Belleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Aaron's sons Rocky and Gabe, as well as, The Zepf Center (6605 West Central Avenue Toledo, Ohio 43617 Attention Deb Flores)

It's been two days shy of a full year since Aaron passed away, and its been heavy on my heart every day since. We were both socialwork majors and classmates, and soon after meeting ended up dating. Aaron absolutely took my breathe away every day, and inspired me to be the most amazing person and social worker I can be. Aaron glowed and believed in me, and I in him.
Although I've ended up on this page many times this past year, I've never had the opportunity nor the nerves to say goodbye, and to reach out and just say something to you, the family. I still think about him daily and wish he was still here to hhear my thoughts, to share time and classes together, and to discuss ways to change the world one step at a time.
Youre all in my thoughts and prayers daily, be safe.

I just learned of Aaron's death and I am so distraught. Aaron was in my composition class at Owens this semester. We had some excellent conversations. He seemed to have such a bright future. I'm so sorry for your loss.
