1941 - 2025
Alfred Leo Brady, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Born on October 5, 1941, to Alfred E. and Nell A. (Heilner) Brady. Al was a man known for his kindness, faith, curiosity, and an unwavering love for people and life.
Al is survived by his wife, Sandy (Michalski, Kerchevall) Brady. He was the cherished father of Marianne (Michael) Peacock, Michael (Marsha) Brady, Thomas (Andrea) Brady, and Christine (Andrew) Troiani, Shelley (Lon) Stender, Rick (Gail) Kerchevall, Amy (Mark) Harbaugh, Rhonna Kerchevall, Chris (Amy) Kerchevall, and Jason (Tracy) Kerchevall. He was the proud grandfather of 27 grandchildren, including Derek Stender, who preceded him in death; and he was a great-grandfather of 27.
He held a special bond with his siblings who preceded him, Patricia (Dick) Campbell, John (Joan) Brady, Joseph (Jan) Brady, Jeanne Brady, and William (Karen) Brady. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless special friends who were drawn to his warmth and genuine spirit.
Those wishing to donate in Al's memory are asked to consider Little Flower Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
The family will receive guests on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo. Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the start of Mass at 11:00 a.m., at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo. (Please park and enter through the Tower Entrance).
