Anna Catherine Gilkey



Anna Catherine Gilkey Owen, 100, of Charlottesville, VA, formerly of Toledo, OH and Louisville, KY, died on Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

Born June 8, 1913, in

Taylorsville, KY, she was

the daughter of John Albin Gilkey and Clara Evelyn Lindle. She was also

preceded in death by her

husband of 63 years, Stanley Hume Owen; son, William Edwin Owen; son-in-law, Roger A. Grady, and her

6 siblings. Survived by

children, Margaret Kathleen "Tif" Reynolds (Al) of

Charlottesville, VA; Mary Jeannine "Jeannie" Dery (Serge) of Toledo, OH; Thomas Stanley (Tom) Owen (Donna) of Colorado Springs, CO; and Linda Dianne Grady of Kokomo, IN; daughter-in-law, Lucille Owen of Rochester, MN; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and 16 nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral mass at the Church of the Incarnation, 1465 Incarnation Dr., Charlottesville, at 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, November 27. Visitation will be held in the Daily Mass Chapel at Incarnation, one hour prior to Mass. Rev. Edwin Montanez will be the celebrant. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, KY at a later date.
