Barbara Sue (Walton)



Barbara Sue Bukowski passed away at age 78, on November 19, 2014, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born December 13, 1935, to Roy and Carmen Walton, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1953 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Carniegie Institute in Detroit, and Davis Business College. Throughout her life she worked as a Medical Assistant, waitress and as a Retail Sales Associate for the Lion Store and Elder-Beerman. She belonged to the Toledo Women's Bowling Association and the WIBC. She was involved with the Flower Hospital Auxillary and belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxillary #197. She was a member of Mayfair-Plymouth Congregational Christian Church for many years. Her hobbies included bowling, genealogy, flowers, painting and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving Barbara are her sons, Michael (Sharon) Pietras, Toledo, OH and Capt. Terry (Pamela) Pietras, Newberg, OR; daughter, Shelley (Steve) Wynn, Monclova, OH; brother, Dan (Janice) Walton, Sunnyvale, CA; 12 grandchildren, Shawn (Tim) Adkins, Andrea (Nathan) Allen, Mary (Chris) Kline, Deborah (Joshua) Hoke, and John, William, Elizabeth, Benjamin Pietras, Christine (Andrew) Buntjer, Matthew (Krystal) Pietras; nine great-grandchildren, Makenna and Andrew Eames, Baily and Ty Allen, Landyn and Quintyn Adkins, Jesse Pietras, Brayden and Taelyn Buntjer and her special best friend, Joanne Marsh of Temperance, MI.

Friends are invited to visit from 1:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads). Visitation will also be held on Monday, in the funeral home, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Internment will be at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Toledo USBCA, Carmen Walton Scholarship Fund.
