Barbara Dermer Obituary
Barbara J. Dermer, age 73, of Oregon, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 10, 2023. Barbara was born to Donald and Jean (Coffman) Dusseau on August 1, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio. A 1968 graduate of Waite High School, Barbara went on to study business and worked for 35 years at L.M.H.A. as an executive assistant until her retirement in 2011. After retirement, Barbara worked for Dunn Chevy Buick. Barbara was a friendly people person who was generous with her time and talent and never had a bad word to say about anyone. A natural caretaker, she was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed. Barbara was proud of her Native American heritage and loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed going to Mass, golfing, watching Mud Hens games, and Christmas time.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Steve; sons, Aaron and Zachary (Ashley Granger); mother, Jean Barnes; and beloved dog, Okudah. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dusseau; step-father, Donald Barnes; and brother, Doug Barnes.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Road in Oregon from 2 until 8 p.m. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Boulevard in Toledo on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. where family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Toledo Humane Society.

Barb was one-of-a-kind. Her warmth and gentle spirit welcomed you into her world. She was always willing to help others when called upon. Knowing Barb as a co-worker and friend was special. She never had a bad day and welcomed you with her beautiful smile. She will truly be missed.
To the family, I pray for God's comfort and care during this time of bereavement and always.

Friends since elementary school (Garfield) I have so many GreaT memories of Barb - we had soOo much fun! She was such a sweet funny true friend. In our later years we didn´t get together much, and I really regret that, but I´m really regretting not being able to attend the services. I feel she deserves so much more than just a few words on paper, but she will live on in my memories and a few pictures I have from some of our adventures. Rest in Peace Barb - Love, Judy

Barb is a wonderful child of God, called to her heavenly home for eternity. She will be missed here on earth and our condolences go out to Steve and the family. Her journey is now complete and she is with Jesus her Savior.
