Bertram Thorpe Obituary
Bertram M. "Bert" Thorpe, age 71, of Holland, OH, passed away December 6, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born May 5, 1954, in Uniontown, PA. Bert was employed as a Retail Warehouse Manager for over 20 years. He was an avid collector and enjoyed playing the lotto. Bert was skilled at winning at the "mechanical claw" at the grocery stores, and upon winning would donate the items to charity.
Bert was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Shazer; siblings, Carmen "Junior" Renzi, Stephen Thorpe and Mildred Silbaugh. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Christine Thorpe; sons, Zacherias (Cheryl) Thorpe and Jacob Thorpe; granddaughters, Liberty and Emma Thorpe; sister, Annabelle Carroll; brother, Homer Tharpe; and special niece, Samantha (Rick) Delpercio.
The family will receive guests Monday, December 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., 419-381-1900. A Celebration of Bert's Life will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at Brandywine Country Club, 6904 Salisbury Road, Maumee, OH 43537.
