Cameron Shultz Obituary

SCHULTZ

Cameron John "Cam"

Cameron John Schultz, "Cam", 22 years of age, of Whitehouse, Ohio died January 14, 2014. Cam had the unique ability to see the gift within each person he met. His gift of unconditional love was seen in an unending smile and unforgettable presence. He never met a stranger and often knew just what to say to make even a bad day better. He was quick to offer a story and it was always exactly what one needed to hear to lighten the mood.

Cameron was born on April 11, 1991, in Toledo, Ohio. Hardworking and heartfelt, Cameron was the first there and last to leave when needed. He will always be missed and remembered especially by his faithful companion, Reggie.

Cameron is survived by his parents, Tami (Mike Owens), Dennis Schultz (Amy); grandparents, Glenda and Dennis Martin, June Gressman and John Schultz (Amy); loving brothers and sisters, Tyler Schultz (Erin Higgins) and Samantha Schultz, Crystal Behnfeldt (Derrek Unverferth) and Kara Behnfeldt; his adoring nephew, Cooper Unverferth; dear aunts and uncles, Diane Hassen, Jodi Hammons and Dan Schultz (Peg) and Dean Schultz. Cam was blessed with a very large extended family and friends. Preceded in death by Norm Gressman; Virginia and Rhuel Martin; Carl and Lillian Cannon; Josh Cable, Julie Schultz and Bill Smith.

Friends and Family are welcome to celebrate Cam's life on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Monclova Baptist Church from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Service will be held at 6 pm. To leave an online memory, please visit

Uncle Cam.
Uncle Cam was many things.
Uncle Cam was an amazing hunter, an outstanding uncle, and someone to look up to.
My Uncle Cam was SPECIAL.

I never really new him that well considering the fact that I was five when he passed. I remember as a little kid, I looked up to him. He was a role model to me. When he passed, I didn't really think much of it. When we arrived at the funeral, I was lifted up, and dropped my favorite stuffed animal in with him. It was a stuffed dog with a shred in the bottom left foot because I always used to chew on it. I remember him coming to visit my family and I quite a few times. I loved his dog, his kind heart, and him. Since I didn't get to wish him a mature farewell, I will do it now that I am twelve years of age, and know how to do it the right way. Thank you for being such a good role model! I miss you so much, and wish you could meet me, and see how your family has expanded. I wish he could see what a man I have become. The man he would have wanted me to become. I hope you are having a wonderful time in heaven right now, and hope that one day, I can visit you up there. I love you.

Cam, I am in tears aa I write this but I wanted to say "Thank you" for being part of our lives. For being a good friend to my son; for being there for him when he had his accident a few years ago. For sharing the fun of fishing and swimming at the house. I pray that you are at peace and that God will hold you tightly and guide you through your journey with him. You will be so terribly missed.

We are very sorry for your loss. Cam was my student in fourth grade. He was a super student and a magnificent person. He always laughed, smiled, worked so hard, and had a great attitude. After he graduated, he helped me at my home with many projects and was always interested in my family and me. He was truly an amazing person and we will miss him very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cam was my son Ian's friend. I only met him this past summer. He came over with Jesse and Marissa for swim parties and a few bon fires. He impressed me so because he was very friendly, polite and respectful...he actually talked to me and my husband! :) I especially remember that he was one of only a few of Ian's friends who could handle our very rambunctious 1 year old puppy Lilly...she loved him and that says alot! I am so very sorry for your unbearable loss and I will pray for God to give you comfort and strength. Dawn Dazell
