Carla Taylor Obituary
Carla Rae
Carla Rae Taylor, 66 years of age, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 8, 1948, the daughter of Carl Taylor and Betty Leininger. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She attended Owens Community College for 4 years and completed the nursing program and she later became a registered nurse for 27 years at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister and best friend, Darla Mae Cooperman. Surviving are daughters, Kimberlee Rae Shaw (Dennis Odle), Erica Mae Broka (Terry K. Broka); sisters, Laurie Bancroft, Terri Marsh; six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Breanna, Madelaine, Caleb, Samantha, and Gabrielle; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn, and her loving companion, Mike Gibbons.

Carla and i played cards together for several years online at yahoo euchre. We had many fun times and many great conversations together. I will miss her dearly. See you at that euchre tourney in the heavens one day Carla!

Nana, I'm still trying to figure out how to live my life without you. I never knew that someone's heart could hurt as much as mine does. I miss our long talks and I miss our visits on the couch together. I miss the way you worried about me and wanted to always make sure I was alright. I miss being able to call you whenever I had a question about something because I knew you always had the answer, your advice was always the best. I miss bringing Kaitlyn over for you to watch her, no matter what you always said yes. Thank you for making me the person I am today and for sharing a love with me that I will never share with anyone else. I adored you just as much as you adored me nana and not a day goes by that I don't miss your smile and laugh. Thank you for always taking care of me and loving me like a daughter. I will forever be grateful for the love you shared with Kaitlyn and I will make you proud and raise her to be a wonderful person just like you. You have a piece of my heart and I will forever miss you, but I know you are the angel on my shoulder. Thank you for being the love of my life, I hope I can be half the nana to my grandchildren one day that you were to me. I love you so much nana.

I have such fond memories of visiting 2C at St. V's and chatting and joking with you, Carla. I have equally fond memories of Darla on 4C. It is bizarre how fast the years fly.
