Carol Barto Obituary

BARTO Carol Mae Carol Mae Barto, age 66, of Adrian, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with cancer. Carol was born January 3, 1943, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, the daughter of John and Sophie (Augustyn) Jarzembowski. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University. On September 18, 1965, Carol married Thomas W. Barto in Garfield Heights, Ohio. Tom and Carol had 43 wonderful years of marriage. The Funeral Mass for Carol will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Catawba Island Township Cemetery in Ohio, on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Friends may visit the family at Wagley Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. You may also send condolences to the family at www.wagleyfuneralhome.com Contributions in memory of Carol may be made to the Stubnitz Environmental Education Center. Envelopes are available at Wagley Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was Audrey's, Lynn's, and Judy's babysitter on Country Place in Sylvania, OH. I became a teacher like Carol - this was my 31st year of teaching. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I moved back to my mom's house when she passed away in 1998. I have so many fond memories of watching the girls when they were little.
