Chad M. Jacobsen

Chad M. Jacobsen, age 35, of Toledo, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born on July 18, 1985 in Toledo, OH to Teresa McVicker and Terry Jacobsen.

After attending Whitmer High School, Chad proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in two tours, Afghanistan and Iraq. During his service he was a part of the 3rd infantry division as a mortar man 11c. The campaign he served in was Operation Iraqi Freedom. After being honorably discharged from the military, Chad moved to the greater Cincinnati area where he resided for the past 6 years. Chad was very passionate about the military and the love he had for his family and friends.

Chad is survived by by his best friend and grandfather, Jacob Jacobsen; his son, Charles; mother, Teresa (Troy) McVicker; sister, Cassandra (Steve) Ways, brother, Joshua McVicker; special Uncle, Jim (Tracie) McVicker; special Aunt, Nichole Walker; nephews, Nathan, Ethen, Logan and Riley; and many more aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Jacobsen; great-grandmother, Jeanette Knaggs; grandmothers, Patricia Smith and Evelyn Jacobsen and nephew, Landon Ways.

The Funeral Service for Chad will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, OH. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Bier Stube, 5333 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH from 3-6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to any Veterans or Military charities of your choice.

I love that boy, talked to him almost every day. He would talk about his grandfather a lot he had a lot of respect for that man he had a lot of respect for his boss Henry he talked about him a lot. Other than the videos at 3:00 in the morning and then 3:01 then 3:02 then 3:03. He was very intelligent, I miss the conversations we had every morning. Prayers are with his family and friends rest in peace.

I took a trip with Nicki and Melanie to spend a week with Peb and her family in Virginia. Chad was very young and would often advise us to “Be Good”. It’s a good memory I have, and I like to think he still wants that.
