Charles Boos Obituary

Charles M. "Charlie" Boos

Charles M. Boos, 52 of Oregon, OH passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018. Charlie was born in Toledo, OH on May 9, 1966 to Milton and Carole (Shown) Boos. He was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School. Charlie worked at A.A. Boos and Sons throughout his career in various capacities, including public relations and information technology. He helped the company transition into the digital age and always embraced emerging and cutting edge technologies. Charlie was a passionate music fan, was very supportive to local musicians, and was an accomplished musician himself. In fact, his music career and leisurely travels allowed him to see much of the world and experience many different cultures. Charlie was a brilliant, adventurous, eccentric, very kind, good-natured person with a heart of gold. He was witty, rambunctious, loyal and truly a one-of-a-kind. If you knew Charlie….you knew Charlie!

Surviving are his mother, Carole; sister, Linda Schlicher; brother, Gregg Boos; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Boos, Michael, Matthew, Madisyn Schilcher; best friend, Cori Thayer; not only his uncles, but his work colleagues, Robert and Donald Boos. Also surviving are many other aunts, uncles, cousins and a lot of friends! Charlie was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon and where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with additional visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Charlie's memory are asked to consider the Make A Wish Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association.

This comes to me with heavy heart. I spent more than 12 years with AA Boos and Charlie was a huge part of my time there. Never did I ever think a man could be as wonderful as his father Milt. I was able to be given the opportunity to build Charlie's home. There Is where I really got to know him. He there became more than a boss, he became a true friend. The Boos family will always be a huge of me and has been and huge reason of why I am who I am today. They always believed in me and Charlie was my fuel to be even more then I thought I could be. I pray endlessly for his family, Greg, Linda, Bob and so many others. I am so sorry for your loss. I will forever love the Boos family and it will always be a part of me as I grow as a human. Thank you Charlie for being a part of my life, my friend, believing in me and pushing me to be who I am today. God speed
