Mr. Charles Edward



Mr. Charles Edward Huddleston, age 73, of Eagan, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, at his home. He was born January 21, 1942, in Caryville, Tennessee.

Charles was ordained as a Deacon May 21, 1972, at the LaSalle Missionary Baptist Church in LaSalle, Michigan. He was very active in his Church and the Clairfield Community. He was a longtime board member of the Clairfield Volunteer Fire Department. He worked for Cousino Metal Products as unit chairman until his retirement. He was a friend to many and believed you never went wrong by helping someone.

Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Whitaker; parents, Silous and Summer Mozingo Huddleston; brothers, Glenn Huddleston, Demus Stevenson, George Stevenson; sisters, Lucille Williams, Helen Schmittou, Bonnie Jessie, Betty Buss, Lucy Annett Allgood.

He is survived by wife, Gayle Hamblin Huddleston; sons, Christopher Glenn Huddleston (Denise), Charles Micha Huddleston (Terese), Jason Matt Huddleston and Rob Maurer; daughter, Tina Allen; grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Christin, Aaron, Joshua, Jeremy, and Stephanie Huddleston, Sarah Watkins, Rebecca, Addison, and Dorothy Whitaker, Cody, and Brittany Allen; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Evans; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends for visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, Clairfield Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015, Clairfield Missionary Baptist Church. Officiating: Rev. Terry King and Rev. Tim Adkins. Burial in Hamblin Cemetery. Pallbearers: Cody Allen, Christopher, Aaron, Jeremy and Joshua Huddleston and Addison Whitaker. Honorary Pallbearer: Robert Hatfield.

Aunt Gayle, Chris ,Chuck ,Tina ,Jayson. I find it hard to put it in to words on how much your Husband & father and my uncle will be missed. He was one of a kind I will always be grateful for every thing he did for me, and fell blessed that he was part of my life. The Lord received a Super Star.

He was a great man ! Always had a smile on his face ,I'am glad too have spent the time fishing @ his pond with him . I will always remember the gold chains and how the fish would come too shore as soon as he walked too the edge of the pond .
