Charlie Cannon

Charles "Charlie" Cannon, age 66, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2023. Charlie was born July 21, 1956 in Toledo, to the late Charles and Beverly (Kest) Cannon.

Charlie graduated from Whitmer High School, class of 1974. He had worked at The Toledo Blade for 43 hard dedicated years. When Charlie wasn't working, he enjoyed going to concerts, target shooting, riding his motorcycle, taking his dog, Baby Cakes, to the dog park, but most of all, spending time with his wife whom he loved dearly. Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda (Waite) Cannon, whom he married on April 29, 1995; Charlie was a bonus Dad to four children, Tonya Koch, Ronald Riffle, Traci Dawn Russeau and Shannon Russeau; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mimi Cannon (Michael) and Lori (Archie) Brown; two nieces, Jazlyn and Ashlee; and numerous cousins and friends.

A special thank you for Charlie's grandson, Joshie, for the love and support he gave his grandpa. Also, the family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for their care they provided to Charlie and his family.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Charlie's funeral service at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral expenses.
