Cheryl Heyen Obituary

Cheryl Anne Heyen

Cheryl Anne Hutton Heyen went to be with her Lord on November 16, 2025, in Sylvania, OH, with her daughter, Shelley Wulff, at her side. Cheryl grew up in Weedsport, NY. She was born on October 27, 1946, in Auburn, NY. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Frank Hutton; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Hutton. She is survived by siblings, Maurice (Bonnie) Hutton of Novi, MI; Marlin Hutton of Auburn, NY; Cynthia (Douglas) Wright of Red Creek, NY; and Candace (Robert) Carter of Fleet, England; and daughter, Shelley (Michael) Wulff of Bowling Green, OH. Cheryl was especially proud of her three grandchildren, Paige, Bryan, and Autumn Wulff.

While finishing her degree in mathematics, Cheryl was a bookkeeper. She got her degree from University of Toledo. Upon finishing her degree, she became a tutor in math, history and reading. Many students improved their grades under her tutelage. Cheryl enjoyed making people laugh by sharing jokes. The Church of the Cross was a major comfort to Cheryl both with how she could support others and how the congregation supported her.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate Road, Toledo, OH, on Friday, November 21st, at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. It is requested that donations be made to the American Red Cross.
