Christopher CHILDRESS Obituary

CHILDRESS Christopher Christopher Paul Childress (Peace, Crapsey) also known as Rawsom and Moose. Was sadly called home to the Lord on February 20, 2010, at the tender age of 21. Christopher was a sweet, loving, respectful young man who touched everyone he met with his beautiful smile and charming personality. Everyone who met Christopher was surprised by how respectful and well mannered he was. Christopher loved helping other people. He lived a hard life but he never let the bad things in life stop him from being a positive, inspiring, loving, young man. Christopher lived with his loving mother and two sisters and was the man of the house. He made friends with everyone who he came in contact with. He had played football in Fassett Middle School and Bedford High School. There was not any sports that Christopher didn't know all the information about. Christopher was intending to enroll in college and become a police officer. He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Brandi Hebert; his grandmother, Christina Crapsey; great grandmothers, Gladys Wagner, Jolene Willard; grandfathers, Denver Peace Sr, Jack Childress; great uncle, George R. Wagner, Danny Croley; great aunts, Debra Croley and Donna Croley. Christopher left this earth with close relationships and very much love with his siblings, Jade Miles-Thornberry (Alex), Megan Childress, Amanda Hebert, Austin Bladel, Sierra Kohler, Heather Kohler and Chris Miles (Stephany); parents are Jenny L. Childress-Peace, Chris Crapsey and step-father, Dale Miles. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Christopher had very close relationships to ALL in his family. He left this earth with many aunts and uncles, Krystal Peace (Todd), Lisa Crapsey (Jimmy), Denver Peace Jr. (Penny), Jason Peace (Michelle), Shawn Peace, Billy Crapsey (Christina), Jamey Crapsey (Andrea) and special aunt, Crystal Croley. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral arrangements will be held at Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home. The showing is Friday from 2-8, Saturday 10-1, services beginning at 1 pm. He will be laid to rest in Gatliff, KY, at a family cemetery. There will be a wake following the services on Saturday as of now we are unsure where. Please send donations to the funeral home to help the family with costs instead of flowers.

We were shocked to hear about the passing of Little Chris. What a tragic loss especially so soon after the loss of Christina. Sometimes it is hard to believe that everything happens for a reason, but God has great plans in store for Chris. Your family is in our prayers.

I am stunned and incredibly sorry to hear of your loss. it has been only a short time since the loss of Christina and I can only imagine what your family is going thru. I hope more than ever that you can find peace in the beauty of your family and friends, strength in the support of those who are praying for you, and hope that each day you will have Christopher in your hearts. Remember all the fun and happy times and the joy that Chris brought to you. Remember to hold onto those precious memories and tuck them deep in your heart and think of Chris often and he will always be with you. God took Christopher from us for a reason and though he is gone physically his spirit will live forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. May God hug and show you comfort in the coming days and months. Know that God does not make mistakes, He only takes the best and that makes Chris a very special person. My deepest condolences goes out to the entire family.
